i have a mach 460 system and added a amp and a kicker 12in. L7 sub to it a couple weeks after i got my car.... but a few weeks ago my sub finally gave out and blew up.....i really like the way my kicker L7 hit...it was louder than just about anybodies 2 10's, single 12's and even a few peoples 15's at my school.... i forget how much the price of a new L7 is i think around $400, but i was thinking about getting a mach1000 to make my trunk look a little cleaner....i believe that it's not worth having a sub unless it is really f-ing loud, so i was wondering if any one had or knew about mach 1000's and how they compare to a kicker L7 (price wise and sound wise)

i know Classic Design Concepts used to sell the Mach 1000 plug in system, for cars equipped with the Mach 460. i don't have it, but i'd like to pick it up for the Cobra. it's really expensive though.

L7 with a good Amp > Stock mach-1000

ya it was Mach-1000 and it was around 1000 for it.
For 1000 bucks you could build a bad to the bone system.

you can always get the system used... or at a salvage yard from a wrecked Mustang...

When it comes to audio systems, aftermarket will always sound better, but after living with the Mach1000 in mine I've come to appreciate it and am quite satisfied with the sound. I may swap head units for a fullscreen DVD set-up, and maybe change the tweeters in the front pods...but that's it. :D
