Cheap Ford Intakes......******up DATE*******

So my 2002 GT intake just started leaking coolent right at the crossover on the driver side.

And there is no way to just replace the gaskets on the aluminum crossover... And even if there was id have to pull the intake.

So now im going to up grade my intake to a Typhoon Manifold from Professional Products

Its a very nice intake all Aluminun intake. They say it will add 21 HP on a stock motor :whoah: (will see about that.) But its a very nice intake.

ya I have a MM&FF mag that has the Intake in it. They put it on a 99 GT it made like 2 more HP at peak power. But showed 10 more HP in the mid range. and 20 more TQ at 3000 RPM.

With a good cam, Long tube headers and a Good 75mm TB and plenum you could see some good HP gains from this intake.

(and my car has long tubes and BBK 75mm TB and Plenum so all I need is cams)

you can also send it to a machinist and get it ported and polished. It comes apart in three different parts to make it easy. I also like the idea of the P51 intake.

their running a deal on the fox lake p-51 intakes. they were like (-)$900 instead of the $1,400 i paid (maybe even lower than that) for the next 100 people that buy one. they are good on n/a motors but dont throw one on your 4.6 if its got a power adder like a supercharger cause then you need to buy the heads/cams combo to make it worth a damn. and they have a hell of a time tuning it without upgrading the heads and cams if you got a supercharger like me + the p-51.

BTW, if you're looking for a kickass 2V intake, check out www.hiperformancesolutions.com . They make an aluminium intake that DOES make power (my SOP meter pegged when I put it in, and I'm stock below it). They run about $695+/-. The Trickflow piece looks like a massaged Bullitt intake... not a bad thing, but I want to see it's numbers.

i was doing some work on my 99 GT this weekend and noticed a small ammount of coolant puddled on my stock intake as well. a friend of mine just put a kenne bell on his car so he gave me his for free. i'll probably end up swapping mine out soon. I wont bother upgrading to the new trick flow intakes because i'm going to end up with a kenne bell eventually.

So I just got the old intake off and It did have nice big crack on the Coolant port... :nono2:


And I was looking at the two intakes, the Stock one and the Stock replacment... And let me just Say from looks they where not the same.. The runners on the Stock intake are much larger the replacments....

So I put the new intake on Go for a drive and it feels like I lost hp..... I mean it really feels Slow........

So I'm going to run this cheap ass stock replacement part till the trickFlow intake comes out next month......

Cliff note: Intake Cracked, Got new cheap Intake and Lost hp... Now time to wait for the trick flow Intake to come out............:cry:

ITs the right PI 99+ intake. 96-98 will not Fit on PI heads at all.

Its just that this is some cheap as services part for all 99+ 2v engines. (makes me think its a CrownVic Intake...........:nono2: )

Oh will like I said ill just wait for the TrickFlow intake...
