3/5 at best.

I'm on the fence about this one. The special effects kicked ass, acting, directing, and over all plot sucked balls. The movie seems to be based more in comic book world instead of adapting the comic book to the real world. Often you find yourself thinking that this would've been better as a Saturday morning cartoon with so many cheesy lines.

The movie is saved, though, by numerous sweet shots of Eva Mendez's cleavage.

I'd say go see it for the special effects, otherwise its a rental. (Although I'll buy the DVD because the effects were good)

Yeah, I kinda got the feeling from seeing the previews that it would be another typical comic book movie. Doubt I'll go see it, but will def. rent.

Well, it is a comic book movie, this time though, they played it more like a comic than a serious movie based on a comic. Don't get me wrong, the movie isn't terrible, but it is lacking something.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I gathered from the trailers. Should be a good rental.

If you have a big TV and nice sound system, that's the way I'd go. Since I got my 50" plasma, I've been less and less inclined to go to the movies.

Netflix + home theater =

No pamp TV or home theater here, just no time with 3 kids and work
I'd still rather watch a movie in the comfort of my home though.

does anyone hang out of moving vehicles while rap is playing in this movie? or run around the car while it's in drive?

did not like this one. i don't mind nic cage, but i think he was a bit old for this role. corny one-liners, things that didn't add anything to the plot of the movie, and the fight scenes weren't long enough. the best part of this movie for me was the fact that sam elliot was in it.

saw it today. great special effects, but again just a movie i wouldnt cast nicholas cage in. he's too old and too good for it, something you'd expect from early in a big actors career.

Ya I noticed that too a nice 94/95 black gt. I thought it was a good movie it was a lot better than catwoman/incredible hulk/fantastic four just not as good as the spiderman movies. I put it up their with the blade movies.

I think you nailed the review on this one. I saw it Friday night - kind of disappointing. The SPFX were great, the acting was just okay, the plot was predictable (again) and the setting/production values were way to bright. For a movie titled 'Ghost Rider' there was way too much color and brightness. I'd say the best part was the final 20 mins or so when it got darker and more sinister. So much potential wasted. :nono2:

3/5 flaming skulls (only reason it got 3 was the SPFX).

i didn't bother watching it because i think nic cage is a shithole actor. his only really good role has been in leaving las vegas.

and maybe wicker man, since he gets turned into a crispy.

he friggin sucked in conair though. that was the worst southern accent i have ever heard.

why does he continue to get action roles? the dude talks like he's stoned at all times.

I think he went on the aids diet for this flick. He looks like he lost 30lbs in this movie.
