who here has ACU's??? issued or bought?

i went to basic and on the very 1st day they started issuing them to new recruits and drill sgts was the day i went for my deferred issue (class a's)...we were all so pissed to see 'em all gettin them

im just a reserve, so it wasnt practical to buy them...however once i got back to training in January after exodus, i realized i still had 3 months left of training in Gordon and the cost of maintaining my BDU's and the time to do so was well worth investing some $$ in some ACU's...bought the tan boots first and thats all i was gunna buy cuz i just didnt wanna shine hte boots anymore, but then the $70/set of the ACU's themself was a turnon so bought 2 sets.

VERY well worth it as my reserve unit STILL has yet to get them issued to them and probly wont for another few months. being in florida, its well worth it to have ACU's :D

ACU's are the best, the are comfortable as hell and easy to maintain. Just wash and hang to dry, no shining boots Anymore. After 18 years of pressing BDU's and shining boots is great to finally have a break. Love them.

I got issued ACUs... they dicked up my sizes at RFI, then again at ADO (since we were in Iraq, we got replacements free). I like 'em (not that I'm gonna be wearing them much longer), less for my sgts to bitch about.

that sizing crap at RFI doesn't mean jack to alot of us. I lost major weight here in Iraq, now all my ACU's are hella big on me
