So the other day as I am wetsanding and polishing my new paint job, I look under my car (which has been sitting for about 3 days) and find a nice puddle of power steering fluid. Not to long ago when I replaced my tie rod ends I noticed fluid in the boots, so I am only assuming that it is the rack that is leaking. Has anyone had any experience changing the rack, it don't look to hard.

The rack isn't that hard to change. It will be much easier if you can put the car on a lift.

It's not hard at all. Nuts and bolts is all. If you don't have a lift, just get four jack stands and do it that way. You need to be able to get under your car.

Might as well go with a Flaming River manual rack and pinion now. :)
$600 for the kit that comes with tie rod ends, steering shaft, and ball joints.

I just did mine the other day. I had to use a sawzall on the long bolt sleeves to get it out the rest of the way. Not sure why, but they were froze up like mad. Probably one of the dirtiest jobs I have done in a long time. Only "difficult" thing is getting the lines started, as the rack is very soft aluminum and it is very easy to crossthread.
