Was thinking the other day a military mustang site would be cool to meet others with the same interest.

This is very cool.

USCG 1990-2002 Active, active reserve,

When I was active I had a '66 Impala SS drop top.

As a reserve I had my first mustang '85 SVO, then a '95 Mustang GTS, '88 mustang GT track toy, and now I have a '89 Mustang GT with 36K orig. miles and the only thing original is the chassis.

Its a 306 TFS heads, Ported GT40, Blower Cam, Vortech 12lbs boost, Tremec 3550 tranny, 3:55 diff, The whole maximum motorsport catalog thrown at it. 18x8.5 BBS RK wheels.

When you leave the military you have to work for a living during the day, then work on your car at night. :D

Here is a pic the day I bought it home after recovering it from a storage garage where it lived and didn't move since 1993. I washed it at the location before bringing it home. I wish had a pic of all the dust sitting on top. The original owner bought the car for his wife and the car went on the first hotrod power tour, then went to kenny brown for a full catalog treatment. Then came divorce in '93 and then the car spent most of its life being a parts car for a little while. 40K miles original, orig. paint. It had 16" centerlines, but the owner wanted them. So those were wheels I had on my pacecar (see pic after this one).
