    Exclamation May 22 2010 Wounded Warrior Car show Newport News Va

    Sat, 22 May 2010, with a rain date of 5 June, I am planning a car show in Newport News VA to raise money for the wounded warrior program. It will be at the Pep boys on Wawrick ave.

    As I get more information it will be posted. So far I know Pep boys will be giving us some stuff to raffle off. If you want to attend, help plan, or donate anything to be given away or to the wounded warrior Program, just let me know. I've had great success getting these events done before in Germany, and hope to have better turnouts here in the States.

    Awesome!!! I'll see if I can wrangle anything from some of the stores down here in southeastern NC to bring to you! I'll also publicize it at our next SouthEastern NC Mustang Club meeting on 7 Feb. I'm sure some of the folks might want to come up.

    I'll also let the WOT guys know. Swervo can help there, since he's in WOT.

    Tickets go on sale tomorrow for the Go Kart. Thise tickets sold on line will be issued in order from payments recieved, with the named put on the tickets here at my place. I will then mail the other half out to the buyers. Just please add 3% to all orders for paypal fees and $1.00 for shipping and envelopes. Thank you.

    Grill is going to be $30 for the day rental from on post. Its a charcoal one. So now we will need to get some charcoal, dogs, burgers, and people to cook...lol If anyone on here would like to help out with setup or in any way at all please let me know

    Sorry Jim. Deconstruction just started on the house last week from the New Year's flood-from-upstairs. It was more intense than I thought. We have no downstairs at all right now. All furniture gone into storage, all floors taken up, no counters or cabinets. I mean all gone.
    Enough of my lame excuses though! (LOL) I talked to Hodge at I Need It Now Trophies here in Jacksonville. They're not really interested in a sponsorship-type deal, but they can get us some cool 10" trophies for about $12 each. Pretty nice car-related trophies. Or they can make some plaques for us for about $25. (A real ballpark-sized guess for now, it depends on the artwork, it might be less.) I can get the artwork for free from a friend who's worked with these guys before. IMO the plaques would be waaaay cooler, because we could put our logo on them and the Wounded Warrior logo on them at the bottom, along with our name, the date, which trophy (Best ...) it is, etc...
    Since we only need 8 trophies, if we could get 8 members to step up and sponsor a trophy, that would cover the cost. I'll commit to sponsoring one.     Bump. Anyone interested in sponsoring a plaque for the car show? We only need 6 more guys to pinch in. Exact price to follow soon. As you can see above, it looks like around 25 bones per.

    Awesome!! With you and I kicking in for one each, we only need one more plaque sponsor and we can get all seven - if they end up costing $25 apiece.

    Can you send the logo, and I can get my buddy (AF guy, who may come up with me to the show) to start the artwork for the plaque?

    hey guys, new to the forums, ran into a guy on my base here at yorktown who told me about the site and the cruise comming up. ill be at the uscg training center till june 1st so as long as the may 22nd weekend dosent rain out ill be there. im in the porocess of selling my current stang right now however im looking to pick up a new one next week. if there is anyway i can help, set up, break down, donations, etc. please just let me know. im not on the site much so my best POC is paintball0225@yahoo.com
